Wood has been awarded a long-term agreement by Aramco to provide engineering, design and project management services for capital projects across Saudi Arabia.
The five-year agreement, which includes an option for a three-year extension, will support Aramco’s strategic energy development plans spanning oil and gas, refining, petrochemicals and lower-carbon hydrogen projects.

The contract further strengthens the longstanding relationship between the two companies, which has spanned more than three decades. Under the agreement, Wood will deliver a range of complex engineering and project execution services aimed at supporting Aramco’s ongoing infrastructure and energy investment programmes within the Kingdom.
Nick Shorten, executive president of projects at Wood, said the award reflects the company’s established role in supporting Aramco’s project portfolio and long-term energy objectives.
The latest agreement follows another significant contract secured by Wood in 2024 for Aramco’s Southern and Northern Areas gas increments project. That project supports Saudi Arabia’s broader objective of increasing domestic gas production capacity.
Wood currently employs approximately 900 people in Saudi Arabia and will leverage its local workforce alongside engineering resources from its Reading office in the United Kingdom to deliver design and engineering services under the new agreement.
The award highlights continued investment in Saudi Arabia’s energy sector and underscores the importance of international engineering expertise in supporting major energy and industrial development projects across the Kingdom.
