French company Azur Drones, which supplies drone-in-a-box solutions for surveillance and inspection, has signed a new framework agreement with TotalEnergies for the use of its drone technology at all the energy major’s sites.
Azur first deployed its Skeyetech system at TotalEnergies’ Feyzin site in 2020. They carry out daily visualisation, sensor measurement and critical infrastructure inspection missions. Drone inspections reduce inspection costs, production downtime and response times, while making operations safer for employees. TotalEnergies has now validated the system, which Azur says confirms its added value for the energy sector.

Earlier in 2021, Azur Drones announced that it had partnered with Oiltanking to use its state-of-the-art drone technology to aid inspection of Oiltanking Copenhagen Terminal, as part of the terminal’s digital transformation programme.
