Stanlow Terminals has recently welcomed the chair of the board of directors, Prashant Ruia, for a tour of their facilities and to discuss in more detail their plans to create a sustainable, industry-leading product offering.

“We were delighted to show Prashant around our site and lay out our vision for the future. One part of this is our investment plan for the next three years as we aim to develop the UK’s largest biofuels storage hub,” a spokesperson for the company said. “This is a key pillar in our ambition to become the UK’s largest bulk liquid storage and energy infrastructure solutions provider and will see us deliver 300,000 cubic metres of capacity to support our customers’ net zero goals once complete.”

These investments, along with the advantages that come with being Europe’s largest multi-product road terminal, mean that Stanlow are perfectly positioned to support northwest businesses as they develop their ambitious net zero goals, with energy storage and transition at their heart.

Stanlow are also in a unique position to contribute to the government’s Low Carbon Strategy by being the UK’s only independent storage terminal and biofuels hub situated alongside a refinery, meaning they can link businesses and production facilities in the region to other parts of the country.

Mike Gaynon, chief executive, said: “We’ve got ambitious plans for Stanlow Terminals, our customers and the net zero transition for businesses across the northwest. It was a pleasure to update Prashant on our plans and the progress of our biofuels ambitions and hear his views on how we can future-proof our offering.”
