Nolato, a global development and manufacturing partner across various industries, has entered into a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement with Better Energy to secure renewable energy for its operations in Sweden. This agreement enables Nolato to power its facilities with green electricity, aligning with its sustainability strategy to reduce CO2 emissions by 80 percent by 2025.
The partnership with Better Energy will see Nolato offtake more than half of the energy produced by a new solar park near Studsvik, expected to generate 25 GWh annually. This move not only enhances Nolato’s environmental efforts but also provides stability in electricity costs by reducing exposure to market price volatility.

Christer Wahlquist, CEO of Nolato, emphasised that procuring renewable energy is an effective way to secure emission reductions and improve business resilience. By integrating solar energy into its electricity mix, Nolato is taking significant steps toward more sustainable business practices while contributing to the expansion of renewable energy production in Sweden.
Better Energy, which has seen a rise in large-scale manufacturers adopting renewable PPAs, highlighted Nolato’s leadership in making impactful environmental changes through green energy procurement.
