Neste Rotterdam refinery project enables production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF)

In 2022, Neste have worked hard on the Neste Rotterdam refinery site keeping their project, modifying their existing renewables production capacity in Rotterdam to enable production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), on track.

Work that started back in 2021 is now at the half-way point, aiming to be completed in 2023.

The modifications to the refinery will make Neste capable of producing up to 500,000 tons of SAF per annum as part of the existing capacity.

This will bring their total global SAF production capacity to 1.5 million tons per annum already by the end of 2023!
