A strategic partnership between Masdar, TotalEnergies, and EPointZero, the decarbonisation arm of 2PointZero, has been formalised through a Framework for Action agreement aimed at accelerating clean energy access in emerging markets and developing economies across Africa and Asia.

Strengthening UAE-France Bilateral Ties in Clean Energy
This agreement is a direct result of the closer ties between the UAE and France, forged through the UAE-France High-Level Business Council. It follows the recent signing of the UAE-France Framework for Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence, reflecting the growing collaboration between the two nations in climate action, energy, and advanced technology.

The agreement was signed at the third plenary meeting of the UAE-France High-Level Business Council in Paris on 16 February 2025. The signing was witnessed by:

Masdar and TotalEnergies will enhance cooperation to provide reliable and sustainable electricity to local communities in Africa, supporting the continent’s energy system transformation while also developing clean energy projects in Southeast Asia.TotalEnergies and EPointZero will explore partnership opportunities in India, focusing on solar, wind, and energy storage to advance the country’s decarbonisation efforts.
The FFA unites these three industry leaders under the Council’s umbrella, enabling them to expand their clean energy capabilities and increase accessibility in high-growth regions.

Leaders Highlight the Importance of the Partnership
