Fluxys LNG, part of European gas infrastructure group Fluxys, has opened a new subscription window for booking bioLNG liquefaction services at its Zeebrugge LNG terminal in Belgium.
The subscription window is open until December 23, 2021, and customers will be able to book capacity for three years. Terminal users will be able to offer full decarbonisation options to customers by supplying carbon neutral bioLNG as a biofuel for the heavy-duty transport and maritime sector.
Fluxys says that its innovative method allows terminal users to convert biomethane into bioLNG and load up to 100 trucks and two bunker ships. The bioLNG is stored in cryogenic tanks and is certified in origin according to the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) framework.
