The parent company of Energi Asia, Energi Holding Limited, has just completed the acquisition of a storage terminal in Matola, Mozambique from Oiltanking. The new terminal has a storage capacity of 440,000 barrels and forms a strategic link in Energi’s asset footprint. 

Energi said its main aim is “to build sustainable, independent liquid storage terminals, infrastructure and logistics business that provides safe and reliable solutions” for its customers.

It said this purchase demonstrates its ongoing commitment to improving its infrastructure in the African region and providing customers with both conventional and alternative fuel storage needs.

Energi was founded in 2014. It is now an industry-leading fuels distributor located in Dubai, UAE. The company owns and operates over 2.8 million barrels of renewable fuels, crude oil, petroleum products, chemicals and vegetable oil storage across MENA, Far East and East Africa.
