Tomorrow (September 12) will see the launch of the 11th annual National Institute for Storage Tank Management (NISTM) Annual National Aboveground Storage Tank Conference & Trade Show in Galveston, Texas.

The two-day conference will cover topics on fuel quality standards and specifications, maximising tank capacity utilisation, managing large terminal projects, next generation double bottom tanks, safety and inspection, among others.

Day one will feature a three presentation session from Louis Koszewski of U.S. Tank Protectors, Inc. He will cover: Cathodic Protection of Tank Bottoms Resting on a Concrete or Asphalt Pad; The Next Generation of Double Bottom Tanks – An Innovative Approach That Will Change The Industry; and Limitations of Using ER Probes or Coupons Under Aboveground Storage Tanks.

Day two will feature presentations covering topics from Reliable and Cost-Effective Inspection of Above Ground Storage Tanks Using Online Robotic Method and Data Science to Tank Floor Inspection from Outside the Tank and Bringing Industry 4.0 to the Liquid Storage Terminal.

The conference & trade show will be held at the Moody Gardens Hotel in Expo A, B, & C.
