Matrix Service Inc., a subsidiary of Matrix Service Company, has announced it will engineer, procure, fabricate and construct a new LNG export facility in Jacksonville, Florida for Eagle LNG Partners LLC.

An estimated £385 million investment will be required to build the export hub, the design for which will use Chart Industries’ IPSMR® and liquefaction equipment technology.

It will have an estimated production capacity of approximately 1.65 million LNG gpd, alongside 12 million gallons of LNG storage, a marine terminal and truck-loading facilities.

Dick Brown, CEO of Eagle LNG, said the company “is experiencing a growing demand for LNG to serve small scale export markets, while domestic demand for fuel-grade LNG continues to increase,” and added that Eagle will continue to build infrastructure across the US to meet these needs.

This announcement follows the recent completion of Matrix’s work at the Eagle LNG Maxville LNG facility.

John R. Hewitt, Matrix Service Company CEO, said of the planned Jacksonville facility: “We are extremely proud to have been selected by Eagle LNG to provide turnkey solutions for this project, which will expand their ability to provide clean, low-cost, domestically produced natural gas to both domestic and global markets.”
