China plans to build its largest LNG reserve base in Jiangsu Province, which is in the east of the country.

The reserve will be developed in two phases. When complete, it will have a capacity of 20 million tonnes of LNG.

The first phase of development will begin operations in 2022 and consist of four storage tanks, each with a capacity of 220,000 m3, and a total receiving capacity of 3 million tpa.

The second phase of development will include six more tanks, each with a capacity of 270,000 m3.
