Inter Terminals has released a new corporate profile video, showcasing the company’s 89-year history and operations across Europe and Scandinavia. The company, formerly known as Simon Storage, was founded in 1929 with the establishment of the Immingham terminal. In 2005, Simon Storage was acquired by Inter Pipeline, a major petroleum transportation, storage and natural gas processing business based in Western Canada. Simon Storage was rebranded as Inter Terminals in 2015.

As well as looking at the history of Inter Terminals, the corporate video also takes a look at the company’s present, boasting some impressive statistics about the business carried out across each of the terminals:

“Today, Inter Terminals is one of the largest independent bulk liquid storage providers in Europe, and the largest in Scandinavia with approximately 4.4 million cbm of capacity located across 16 terminals. Our terminal network has experience in the storage and handling of over 100 different products, from oils and chemicals to biofuels and technical wastes.

“Most recently, the construction of new tanks and pipeline links, as well as the redevelopment of existing infrastructure at key terminals marked our highest capital expenditure programme for over a decade.”

The short film also provides a geographical overview of the business, looking at each of the key locations throughout Europe. This includes terminals in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Denmark and Sweden, with access to major ports and trade routes across Europe.

The video also focuses on the values upheld by Inter Terminals, including a drive to grow and meet client demand, the importance of health and safety and environmental concerns, and keeping up with industry trends.

“Whether its meeting increased demand or satisfying a specialist storage requirement, Inter Terminals is committed to optimising assets in service and investing in additional capacity,” it says.

“Inter Terminals is committed to being a good neighbour wherever we do business, and with environmental and wellbeing concerns always at the fore. Our target is zero harm to people, the environment and property arising from our operations. Because our business success rests on the safe and responsible storage and handling of our customer’s products, our health and safety values go hand in hand with our business strategy. For us, good health and safety is good business.”
