After finishing a project for a sea and inland tanker shipping company at the end of 2018, (which was for the construction of 12 gas tanks with a capacity of 380m³ each), Engicon nv (Geldof) said it is happy to announce that it has now received an order from the same company for a further six units.
These six pieces are completely identical to the previous 12 and will be built into a new ship.
Geldof said: “Production in our shop in Harelbeke (Belgium) started very quickly as the engineering had already been carried out for the previous tanks. As soon as the material was delivered we kicked off with the construction right away.”
Delivery to a Dutch shipping yard is scheduled for the end of July 2021.
