Avikor, the Exolum platform that offers individuals and companies the opportunity to reduce the emissions of their commercial flights, has supplied sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for a flight operated by Air Nostrum.

The company supplied a blend of SAF and JET A-1 to the flight which will transport Valencia CF from Seville to Valencia.

SAF is produced from waste or materials of plant origin. Therefore, across its whole lifecycle, the emissions deriving from its use are up to 80 percent lower.

This is one of the first flights operated in Spain that will use this type of fuel, and it represents a commitment by both companies and the club to flying more sustainably.

The final blend was analysed at the laboratories of origin and also at Exolum laboratories and was confirmed compliant with quality specifications for this type of fuel, with the SAF component being certified as “sustainable fuel” according to the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC) system, which is recognised by the EU.
