19.04.16. Amity Energy has signed an MoU with Johor Corporation to build and operate a refrigerated liquefied petroleum gas (RLPG) terminal in Tanjung Langsat Industrial Complex, Malaysia.
The project involves the construction of a 1 million tpa throughput RLPG storage & breakbulk facility at an estimated project cost of US$150-200 million. On completion, the terminal will be equipped to handle the storage and distribution of propane and butane, with direct connectivity to a deepwater berth capable of receiving very large gas carriers.
The terminal is expected to be operational in Q1 2018. Amity Energy is in the final stages of discussion with potential customers and expects to have final investment approval by end July this year.
The second phase of the storage complex will include a petroleum products storage terminal with a capacity of 400,000 cbm at an additional cost of $150-200 million.
